This includes the motor and mechanical bellows, removing the need for pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps or hoses, saving time and cost on projects significantly. This is mainly due to reducing the needs or on-site supervision and maintenance, which can be costly, and the simplicity makes it versatile and deployable in restricted locations. Municipal Wastewater

When focusing on municipal wastewater, the SurfCleaner focuses on the continuous removal of floating sludge, targeting recycling this sludge for biogas production. This not only helps to reduce municipal wastewater treatment plants reduce their environmental footprint, but it also minimises manual labour and power use, with as little as a household lightbulb in terms of energy consumption. Instead of using manual flushing or vacuum trucks, which can result in the loss of the energy potential of the sludge, it can be collected without water, the water treatment plant can instead convert it to bioenergy and take advantage of phosphorus and minimize operation stoppages, operation costs, energy and chemical use.

Recycling and Waste Management

The SurfCleaner can be used directly on any site to skim, separate and recover all types of oil and floating pollutants from water. Recycled oil is pure and ready to be reused. Traditionally, from all oily wastewater collected from industries and waste facilities only around 50% of oil is separated from water and can be reused. The rest of the oil/water emulsion is often mixed with soil and straw to create compost for landfill. SurfCleaner offers the most effective oil recovery and separation technology on the market with close to 100% oil/water separation rates. It means that the recovered oil can be reused or resold, contributing to the circular economy.
